Advocating for laws that protect children from sun damage is a primary goal. This year, CMPF’s SunAWARE Educator, Maura Flynn, introduced legislation along with Senator Jamie Eldridge & Patrick O'Connor to allow children to bring sunscreen to school. CMPF successfully petitioned Governor Baker to officially proclaim Don’t Fry Day, a national day of skin cancer awarenss, in Massachusetts. CMPF received multiple citations from Senators and Congressman for our work in advocacy and education.
